The defender only recently rejoined his teammates in group training after a long recovery process, but ended up hurting his thigh almost immediately.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), clinical tests detected a Grade I or Grade II injury in the right thigh. The Roman newspaper estimates the recovery time at about one month. Therefore, the experienced centre-back will miss the rest of the club’s pre-season, in addition to the first few weeks of the Serie A campaign.
