Inter Milan winger Tajon Buchanan breaks his silence following his recent injury by vowing to return stronger.

The 25-year-old suffered a fractured tibia during training while on international duty with Canada who are currently participating in Copa America.

This unfortunate knock should keep the former Club Brugge star off the pitch for a period between four and five months.

The player has already undergone surgery to repair the damage.

Over the past few days, Buchanan has been silent for obvious reasons. But he finally decided to send a message to his supporters on social media.

The Canadian admits he was lost for words while using a heartbreak emoji. Nevertheless, the wingback promises a memorable comeback from injury.

“Lost for words,” posted the Nerazzurri on his official Instagram account.

“Just want to say thank you for all the love and support. Operation was successful and road to recovery starts now. Comeback about to be crazy. Trust me.”

Buchanan joined Inter in January following Juan Cuadrado’s Achilles tendon surgery.

The Canada international is originally a right winger, but Simone Inzaghi deployed him as a backup for Federico Dimarco on the left flank.

The former New England Revolution star made 10 Serie A appearances but has yet to make his full debut since joining Inter.

With Buchanan out of the picture for a significant amount of time, the Nerazzurri could be seeking a replacement.

But instead of signing another wingback, the Italian champions could rely on Carlos Augusto once more as Dimarco’s deputy, and instead work on signing a new centre-back.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with the likes of Alessandro Buongiorno and Mario Hermoso.
