The Rossonere were unable to get revenge for their derby loss in the first half of the season as they were defeated by Inter at PUMA House of Football. On matchday 15 in Serie A, the Nerazzurre ran out comfortable winners, 4-1. Two goals inside the first 15 minutes clearly affected the outcome of the game, but the Rossonere reaction was evident, and Piemonte's goal on the half-hour mark gave them way back into the game. But the visitors' third goal soon after the break, combined with Asllani's penalty miss, ended any hopes of a fightback.

On a positive note, Martina Piemonte scored her fifth league goal of the campaign - her second consecutive one after scoring in the Coppa Italia against Fiorentina midweek - and the warm support from the home crowd, which included CEO Giorgio Furlani and a numerous representation from the Rossoneri's youth sector players. Coach Ganz's side miss the chance to overtake and cause damage to their rivals, and remain on 25 points, in fifth spot. Next up is Juventus away to try and give the end of the regular season a different twist, before the second leg of the Coppa Italia quarter-final tie.

MATCH REPORT The Rossenere were on the back foot from the off, going behind inside two minutes: Karchouni's corner was put in by Santi after a melee in the box. The goal knocked the home side, who found it difficult to find their shape, leaving space for Inter to attack on the break. On the quarter-hour mark, the Nerazzurre doubled their lead as Chawinga beared down on goal and hit home with her left. This time, the Rossonere's reaction was immediate: K. Dubcová got around Thøgersen and put in a cross to the backpost, but Asllani failed to connect. The Rossonere upped their intensity and came close to pulling a goal back through Mascarello's right-footed strike, but it was kept out by Durante after 28 minutes; then, Thomas' cross come shot just didn't find the decisive, final touch. But after 32 minutes, AC Milan's pressure eventually paid dividends as they reduced the deficit: Piemonte got free on the edge of the box and let fly a right-footed strike that Durante had no chance with. At the end of the half, the away side's defence blocked efforts by by Grimshaw and Asllani, going into the break 1-2.

But the Rossonere were stunned at restart as Karchouni's free-kick deflected off the wall, leaving a stranded Giuliani unable to react to the flight of the ball, giving the away side a 3-1 lead after 52 minutes. But Ganz's girls gave themselves an opportunity to get immediately back into the game: Asllani got ahead of Fördős and won a penalty on the 56th minute, but from the spot Durante guessed the right way and saved from the Swedish striker. AC Milan suffered from the goal and penalty miss, struggling to find the spaces to break down the visitors' backline. And with just over 15 minutes to play, Inter found their fourth: Polli played in Chawinga whose shot fired off Giuliani, but on the follow-up the striker found the net. The rest of the game played out without any action of note, and it ended 1-4.
