Denis Suarez’s loan from Barcelona has cost Arsenal €33,000 per minute played since he arrived in January.

There was a reasonable amount of excitement when Denis Suarez arrived at Arsenal from Barcelona but that has given way to apathy – if fans even think of him it all.

Since he arrived, he has played just 67 minutes in the Premier League and 28 in the Europa League.

That means, when you factor in the €2.5m Arsenal are paying for his loan fee and the €600,000 he’s received in wages, he’s cost Arsenal €33k a minute.
