League Two side Cheltenham Town are set to bring in a defender, but it will not be Wolves talent Kam Kandola, according to journalist Jon Palmer.

Cheltenham are bidding to bounce straight back up to League One at the first time of asking in the new season.

The club want to make additions and beefing up their defensive options is firmly on the agenda.

Young Wolves defender Kandola has spent time training with Cheltenham recently as he looks to impress boss Michael Flynn.

Cheltenham are now poised to bring in another defender.

It will not though be Wolves starlet Kandola.

Whether a potential move for the 20-year-old might still be on the agenda is unclear, but Cheltenham are not moving to sign him now.

Kandola turned out for Wolves’ reserve side in the Premier League 2 last season, while he also faced senior opposition for the Under-21s in the EFL Trophy, with games against Notts County, Lincoln City and Derby County.
