Wolves snap up Strand Larsen on permanent deal | OneFootball

Jorgen Strand Larsen has officially joined Wolves on a permanent basis after spending last season on loan from Celta Vigo.

The Norwegian striker made a big impact in his first year at Molineux, scoring 14 Premier League goals in an impressive debut campaign.

He quickly established himself as a key part of the Wolves attack under Pereira, breaking the club record for most goals by a Premier League debutant - surpassing Raúl Jiménez’s 13-goal tally from the 2018/19 season.

Strand Larsen has now put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him at Wolves until 2029.

The club paid around £2.5m (€2.9m) for the initial loan and will now pay a further £23m (€26.8m) to complete the permanent transfer.

Speaking to the club's media team, Srand Larsen said: “It’s been a good first season in the Premier League.

“I’m proud of what I’ve done. I’ve been able to take the steps quite earlier than I’ve done before. Previously when I moved to a new country, I’ve needed more time to get into it and score goals.

“As a striker, the team need you to score the goals and be on the end of the crosses, so to score 14 goals - and come back after my injuries and a little dip of form - it was a good season for me in that respect.

“Since Vitor and his staff came in, I scored eight goals, and seven goals in seven or eight games, so it was a good end of the season, and as a team we progressed in a really good way for next season.”
