It all seemed to be going so well for Arsenal.
But just after the second half kicked off, England midfielder Declan Rice was sent off, after being shown a second yellow card.
The card was shown when Rice kicked the ball away from Brighton's Joel Veltman, and therefore delaying him taking a free-kick.
Not only did the Gunners have a narrow 1-0 lead, but he will now be suspended for the North London derby with Spurs after the international break.
It's the first time Rice has ever been sent off, and shortly after, Brighton netted an equaliser.
