MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers concludes on Sunday with the decisive third set of matches in Group B.
The three group winners and the best second-place finisher in the Final Round will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Morocco 2025.
Canada vs. Puerto Rico
Canada and Puerto Rico face off for first place in Group B at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua. Both sides enter the final matchday with six points apiece, with Puerto Rico holding the top spot on goal difference.
Canada is coming off a 2-nil against Panama. Melisa Kekić and Emma Reda scored to lead The Reds to victory.
Puerto Rico earned a 4-nil win against Nicaragua. Jayla Walton, Jaeda Russell, Gabriella Garnett, and Journie Feliciano scored to obtain the three points and a two-goal lead on goal difference in the standings.
A tie would be enough for Puerto Rico to take the World Cup berth. Canada must win to rise into first place.
Panama vs. Nicaragua
Panama meets Nicaragua at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua. Both nations will seek to depart the tournament with their first wins of the campaign.
Panama fell 6-1 to Puerto Rico in the team’s opening match before falling 2-nil against Canada. The lone goal in the 2025 edition for Las Canaleras has come from an own goal off a corner kick delivery by Jozuanys Santos.
Nicaragua fell 5-nil against Canada in its opening encounter. A 4-nil loss against Puerto Rico placed the team out of contention to advance.
