It was a crazy deadline day in Italy, with most top Italian clubs announcing new signings.

Lois Openda arrives for his medical tests with Juventus on September 1, 2025.

Juventus welcomed Edon Zhegrova and Lois Openda, while Inter welcomed Manuel Akanji on loan with an option to buy from Manchester City. Napoli announced the signing of Rasmus Hojlund and the return of Eljif Elmas. Meanwhile, Milan signed Adrien Rabiot and sold Alex Jimenez and Yunus Musah.

Even the Italy national team was somehow involved in transfer stories as captain Gigio Donnarumma underwent medical tests in Florence after Manchester City reached an agreement with PSG over a €27m transfer.

Gennaro Gattuso had confirmed in his press conference on Monday afternoon that Donnarumma would sign his contract with Manchester City today.
