David Prutton has backed Sheffield United to secure a narrow victory away at Hull City tomorrow night.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Championship Predictions Podcast, Prutton believes the home advantage won't help the Tigers to secure a point or three against the Blades.

United have shown promise during the early stages of the season and didn't let their two-point deduction become a psychological barrier.

Securing a victory against Preston North End on the opening night of the season, they have been able to build on this, despite a disappointing draw against Queens Park Rangers after that game.

Drawing away at Norwich City and winning against Watford, they did fairly well overall, before the start of the international break.

Following this interval, Chris Wilder's side will be keen to build on the momentum that they currently have.

Tomorrow night, they face a Hull side that endured a fairly turbulent and disruptive pre-season, with the Tigers losing the likes of Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene during the summer transfer window.

In fairness to Tim Walter's side, they were able to recruit well and that should help to fill the void created by the departures of Greaves and Philogene, but they need to recover from a fairly underwhelming start to the campaign.

Winning just three points from their opening four games, they have missed good opportunities to get a couple of early wins on the board, and they face a very difficult assignment tomorrow night.

The Blades were able to bring in some excellent players during the summer, including Kieffer Moore, Callum O'Hare, Harrison Burrows, Michael Cooper and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, all of whom could make a real difference at the MKM Stadium.

David Prutton predicts: Hull City v Sheffield United

Prutton believes that United will be able to continue their unbeaten run, even though they face a tough side away from home.

He said: "The Hull City one is an intriguing one, because the change they've made with Liam Rosenior being moved on, with the owner wanting a different style of football, I still think they're trying to find out what that is.

"The expectation on Tim Walter is to go and dominate proceedings but I don't think they'll do that against Sheffield United - very good players, very good recruitment and a good way to start the weekend.

"I'm going to go Hull City 1, Sheffield United 2."

Considering the calibre of players that United have, they should be looking to win most of their games.

And this upcoming clash is another winnable one, even though Hull have a fairly decent side on paper.

With Cooper in goal, Anel Ahmedhodzic at the back, Gus Hamer able to make a difference in midfield, O'Hare establishing himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in the division and Moore able to score regularly at this level, United could end up dominating this clash.

They should be looking to secure at least a point from this clash if they are going to target promotion this term.

And a narrow win for the visitors seems like a sensible prediction.
