Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has moved to provide an update on the wellbeing of defensive star Dani Carvajal.

As much comes after the Spaniard set pulses racing across the Real fanbase late on Tuesday evening.

Afforded his latest start in Los Blancos’ La Liga meeting with Alavés, Carvajal went to ground during the 2nd-half, in evident pain.

After being seen to by the hosts’ medical team, the 32-year-old was ultimately able to continue, seeing out the remainder of the 90 minutes.

Speaking to the media post-match, however, the subject of Carvajal’s fitness was nevertheless put to boss Carlo Ancelotti.

As much comes with the Champions League finale now a matter of weeks away.

Real Madrid’s headmaster, though, was quick to shut down any and all concerns regarding his first-choice right-back, in assuring that:

“Carvajal’s thing was nothing. Just a stomp (on his foot).”
