Dani Alves has been heavily critical of his Paris Saint-Germain team mates for the way they’ve approached the Champions League this season.
The Ligue 1 giants got their campaign off to the worst possible start in September when they lost 3-2 to Liverpool at Anfield thanks to a last minute Roberto Firmino goal.
Thomas Tuchel’s men then went on to beat Red Star Belgrade but are currently third in the group having drawn twice with Napoli.
And the Brazilian defender, currently recovering from a knee injury he picked up last season, has called out his colleagues for their mentalities on the biggest stage.
“Few teams have better players than PSG, but they need to realise the competition they’re playing in,” he told The Telegraph.
“It’s too easy in Ligue 1, but they need to climb to a better level for matches against the biggest clubs.
“I do not think PSG really understood what they were up against against Liverpool.
“It was as if they didn’t realise who they were playing against.
“But they they are understanding it. If that’s not the case, they will learn the price.”
Next up in the Champions League for Les Parisiens they host Jürgen Klopp’s side on November 28.
