Daley Blind set to complete move to Girona after leaving Bayern Munich | OneFootball

Daley Blind is set to sign for Girona, report AS. The 33-year-old Dutch defender will undergo a medical on Friday and once he has the green light, will sign a contract with the La Liga club until 2025.

After leaving Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, the versatile player will join on a free. Girona head coach Míchel is set to have Blind available in his squad for preseason which gets underway on Monday 10 July.

With a long career in the game, Blind will add experience to the side for the 2023-24 campaign. Paulo Gazzaniga, the goalkeeper who was on loan at the club last season from Fulham, has also put pen to paper on a deal until 2025 after leaving the London club.

Going forward, Míchel will have the option of deploying former Manchester United player Blind in a number of positions, including left-back, centre-back and in a defensive midfield role.
