CSKA confirm Gbamin returning to Everton | OneFootball

CSKA Moscow are sending midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin back to Everton.

Gbamin joined CSKA in January on-loan to the end of the season, with the deal including a permanent option. However, he will now be returning to Merseyside.

CSKA press chief Kirill Braido said: “CSKA is very grateful to Jean-Philippe, who quickly responded to our offer in the winter, and we managed to reach an agreement with him, his agent, and Everton in the shortest possible time.

"Gbamin immediately closed an important position on the field, demonstrating a high level of play. The coaching staff also highly appreciates his contribution to the spring part of the championship, especially in the bright March segment. Without him, there would not have been that great series of five victories in a row.

“We wish Gbamin in his future career to avoid serious injuries that haunted him earlier. We are confident that he will be able to realise his highest potential."
