Crystal Palace Expect Medical For Target This Week | OneFootball

Crystal Palace will put Real Betis defender Chadi Riad through a medical later this week, according to the BBC.

The Eagles have made securing the 20-year-old’s services a priority and have agreed a deal with Betis.

Riad caught the eye with Manuel Pellegrini’s side this season, but is keen to make a move to the Premier League; he is one of the lowest paid players in the Betis squad.

Crystal Palace are now speeding to complete the deal and expect Riad to undergo a medical either on Wednesday or Thursday.

The Premier League side will pay an initial £12m, with a further £2m to come in add-ons.

Palace are looking to back new boss Oliver Glasner in the transfer market this summer.

The Austrian has made a splash since taking over at Selhurst Park and will soon be able to call upon Riad to strengthen his defensive options.

Riad has been on loan at Betis from Barcelona and the Catalans will get a cut of the transfer fee.
