Crystal Palace lost 3-0 when they visited Manchester United in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, and many assumed lightning would strike in the same place twice four days later.
But Palace defender Joachim Andersen had other ideas when he fired the visitors in front with a stunning finish.
A set-piece found its way to the Dane at the back of the penalty box and he hit it first time on the half volley back across goal, past goalkeeper André Onana and into the top corner.
His compatriot Rasmus Højlund – lining up for the hosts – would have been delighted with that goal.
