It was a night to forget for Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday as his Al Nassr side crashed out of the Saudi King Cup.
Ronaldo’s side hosted Al Taawoun in the round of 16 and went 1-0 down with 20 minutes to go as Waleed Al-Ahmed netted for the Buraydah-based.
But the Ballon d’Or winner had a chance to be the hero in the 96th minute with Al Nassr being given a penalty and a chance to take the game into extra time.
But with virtually the last kick of the game, Ronaldo blasted his spot kick over the bar to send his side out of the Cup.
The former Real Madrid man will have the chance for redemption this Friday when Al Nassr face bitter rivals Al Hilal.
