Cristiano Ronaldo showed how impressed he was with Francis Uzoho after he put in the performance of his life in Omonia’s match against Manchester United on Thursday evening.
Uzoho, a lifelong United fan, was incredible in the Europa League clash at Old Trafford.
He ended up making 12 saves as he repelled United time and time again.
Unfortunately, his heroics were all in vain as Scott McTominay scored a stoppage-time winner for United.
But it was still a brilliant performance from Uzoho who had the game of his life.
There was a wholesome moment during the match where Ronaldo showed how impressed he was with Uzoho.
The Nigerian stopper pulled off a brilliant double save to deny Fred and then Ronaldo in the second half.
Instead of being annoyed he didn't score his 701st club goal, Ronaldo had a beaming smile on his face as congratulated Uzoho on his double save.
Uzoho's brilliant highlights from the match have now been compiled by BT Sport.
In the video, Uzoho can be seen making two double saves, while also keeping out Marcus Rashford on a number of occasions.
It shows just how good he was and you can view them below...
Uzoho regardes De Gea as his idol and the Spaniard was full of praise for him after the match.
“Of course. I think he [Uzoho] had an amazing game,” De Gea told MUTV.
“I think he made eight or 10 great saves for his team in the game but in the end we scored a goal and for sure he made a great game.
“I know he played in La Liga in Spain. He had an amazing game and congratulations for him.”
De Gea added on the match: "We controlled the game.
“They don’t create chances - just a couple of half-chances - but sometimes games happen like this. Sometimes you create 10 chances and sometimes you create one and score a goal. But this is football.
“Like I said before we fight until the end and score a goal but we need to be more clinical if we want to win games in the Premier League.”
