Roberto Martinez announced the Portugal squad for EURO 2024 as veteran Cristiano Ronaldo is set to captain the pack.

All doubts were put to rest as Portugal confirmed their travelling contingent for Germany. Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who led Os Navegadores to European Championship glory in 2016 was named in the 26-man Portugal squad.

Porto defender Pepe became the oldest player (41 years, two months and 25 days) to be selected for a Euros squad, surpassing Gabor Kiraly’s record who featured for Hungary in 2016 at 40 yrs 86 days.

Portugal will play three friendlies before the competition’s commencement against Finland, Croatia and the Republic of Ireland.
