One of the longest-running transfer sagas is finally over after Real Madrid announced the signing of Kylian Mbappé from PSG.
The 25-year-old moves to the Spanish capital on a free transfer after opting against extending his contract at the Parc des Princes which expired this summer.
Los Blancos have secured his signature on a five-year contract, and he has been handed the no.9 shirt, which has been vacant since Karim Benzema departed the Spanish capital 12 months ago.
However, Mbappé will not be presented by his new club for a while yet, with the France captain focusing on international duty for the coming week ahead of the European Championship.
As a result, he will not arrive in Madrid until Les Bleus’ adventure in Germany comes to an end.
Mbappé leaves France after scoring a staggering 256 goals in 308 games across spells with Monaco and PSG.
