Cremonese manager Massimiliano Alvini sounded frustrated with his side’s lack of points in the new Serie A campaign given their convincing performances with Fiorentina and Roma last night.
“To play two games the way we did and come away empty handed really makes you mad,” he told DAZN after the final whistle to Roma 1-0 Cremonese. “I’m sorry for my players because I see how much effort they put into this game.”
“We prepared it just like we played: playing out from the back, trying to dominate possession but in the end we did not manage the match the way we’d intended.”
“But that’s normal, with time we’ll improve these aspects,” he continued. “Roma played a great game and we stayed with them.”
“It was an honor to be able to play here opposite José. Roma won and deserved it. I’m sorry for Gini Wijnaldum and Zaniolo’s injuries,” he added.
