Luka Jovic was the main man for AC Milan earlier this evening as he found the back of the net twice against Inter. Speaking to the media straight after the final whistle, he shared his emotions.
Many were surprised to see Jovic in the starting eleven once again, with Tammy Abraham tipped to start in the big game all week. However, Sergio Conceicao was certainly proved right as the Serbian bagged a brace, leading Milan to a 3-0 victory.
Speaking to Mediaset after the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, the No.9 shared his thoughts on the game and the upcoming Coppa Italia final…
“It was a really important match for us. We are not doing well in Serie A, we know that… Today we had to show our qualities and we managed to do so. Let’s go to Rome!” he stated.
The striker was heavily praised in our player ratings for the performance, not just because of the goals but also his ability to combine with his teammates. He was given an 8.5/10, one of the highest scores given out this season.
As Bologna won the first leg against Empoli by three goals to nil, they will likely join Milan in the final (the second leg is scheduled for tomorrow). Vincenzo Italiano’s side will be no easy match so the Rossoneri certainly cannot celebrate yet, but we all know that at this point.
