Could Manchester City bring in a star from La Liga surprise packet Girona next summer? After impressing for Girona winger Savio is now the subject of talks from the European champions to bring the player to the Etihad next season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester City are having discussions about bringing in the explosive winger. With Savio owned by City Football Group club Troyes, they would have an ideal run to secure the youngster’s signature. Furthermore, Romano also reports that Savio will stay at Girona for the remainder of this season.

Savio has been one of the stars of Girona’s rise up La Liga this season. In 20 appearances in all competitions, he has scored 5 goals and added 5 assists for the La Liga side. With his dribbling ability, eye for a pass and goal-scoring ability he has put himself on the radar of a host of clubs. Spanish publication Sport reported that Barcelona are monitoring the youngster.

Manchester City through their links to Troyes are in an ideal position to easily complete a deal for the winger. Savio has previously spoken of his desire to play for Manchester City so it may be a story to watch next summer. He would also fit the ball of being a player with potential that Pep Guardiola could develop as evidenced by City’s interest in Claudio Echeverri and Finlay Gorman.
