Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama victorious in League A

MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Boy´s Under-15 Championship continued on Wednesday with four League A matches at the FCRF Federation Fields in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Costa Rica and Mexico continued their perfect starts, while Panama claimed a second win. Canada and Saudi Arabia played out a draw.
Group A will close out on Thursday with Mexico taking on Panama and El Salvador facing Honduras. Group B action will conclude with Costa Rica against Saudi Arabia and USA against Canada.
Group A
Nicaragua 0-4 Panama
Group A action for the day opened with Panama defeating Nicaragua, 4-nil.
Panama took the lead with two early strikes, with captain Alfredo Maduro scoring in the 2’ and Neir Marrugo in in the 12’.
Maduro struck from close range in the 35’ to secure his brace and net his fourth overall goal in the Group Stage.
José Pierre rounded out the result for Panama with a goal in the 60’.
Honduras 0-2 Mexico
Mexico claimed a 2-nil win over Honduras in a battle for first place in Group A.
Paxon Ruffin placed Mexico ahead in the 30’ with a right-footed finish from inside the penalty area.
Da’vian Kimbrough doubled Mexico’s lead in the 53’, adding a third goal to his tally in the tournament with a finish to the top-right corner.
Group B
Saudi Arabia 0-0 Canada
Saudi Arabia and Canada played out a nil-nil draw in Group B.
The results sees each team claim its first point of the tournament.
Costa Rica 2-1 United States
League A hosts Costa Rica earned a 2-1 victory over defending champions United States in Group B.
Los Ticos scored twice in quick succession to pull ahead. Caled Flores pushed the ball in from close range in the 6’, followed by a penalty kick conversion from Jefrey Urbina in the 16’.
Sean Sidebe cut one back for the reigning champions in the 38’, scoring from a tight angle after breaking into the box from the left flank.
