Although the official announcement has not yet arrived, Alvaro Morata can be considered by all intents and purposes a new AC Milan player.

Morata underwent medical tests for his new club in Madrid yesterday and then – with his agents and the intermediary Giuseppe Bozzo – he met the CEO Giorgio Furlani to sign a four-year contract with the Rossoneri.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), the cost of the transfer fee will be €13m which is the value of his release clause. He will sign a contract until 2028 with the option for a one-year extension and will receive a salary of €5m net per season, bonuses included.

After signing his contract with Milan, Morata left for a vacation with his wife (the Italian Alice Campello) and his children, after winning the European Championship with Spain after a 2-1 victory over England on Sunday.

He will return to Milan only at the beginning of August, when he will start training at Milanello to prepare for his debut which should happen on the 13th at San Siro in the Trofeo Silvio Berlusconi against Monza.

A few days later, on the 17th at 20:45 CEST, Morata will be able to make his competitive debut for the club in the first Serie A game of the season, also at San Siro but this time against Torino.
