AC Milan are continuing to keep their options open in their bid to build a new stadium, as has been admitted by president Paolo Scaroni.

According to this morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) which gives an update regarding the new stadium for Milan and Inter, San Siro still remains the targeted area on which to build the new stadium given the time, energy and also the money that the two clubs have invested up to now in order to try and get the project off the ground.

However, the delays so far have been well documented given the land is owned by the Council and must therefore go through a long process of authorisation before the clubs can break ground, with the current and final step being the public debate.

That is why the idea of moving to an alternative area of the city also remains an option, as president Paolo Scaroni explained yesterday at a press conference: “If we can’t build the new stadium at San Siro, we will build it elsewhere. Sesto? It’s a possibility, not the only one. We don’t have plan Bs but many plan As.”
