Should Al-Ittihad Kalba be relegated, the 32-year-old will be released from his contract. They finished 11th in the 14-team league last season, surviving the drop by seven points.

Henrique was tied down to Corinthians until the end of the 2020 campaign, but was released free of charge.

With this, Corinthians will save almost 19 months of salary, a value of about R$5m (€1.1m).

The former Barcelona, Leverkusen, and Napoli centre-back joined in January 2018 and played 101 matches for the club but lost his place when Gil arrived.
