A clash of epic proportions is set to be played out as the Champions League finalists go head-to-head with the Conference League finalists today evening in the Coppa Italia final.

Fiorentina have done a massive job in progressing to the Conference League finals this season but they have compromised in the league. Currently sitting in 11th place in the Serie A standings, the Viola will fight tooth and nail to win the Coppa Italia as the title will guarantee them a place in the Europa League for next season.

Vincenzo Italiano would consider this season a rather disappointing one because of their league position but he knows that the Coppa Italia triumph would grant them a place in the Europa League next season. However, if they fail to achieve the crown today, they are set to miss out on European competition.

Meanwhile, Inter will hope to secure the second piece of silverware this season after clinching the Supercoppa Italiana earlier this year defeating neighbourhood rivals Milan.

Following Juventus’ 10-point deduction by the FIGC, the Nerazzurri moved to 3rd place in the league standings and need only a point to secure Champions League football for next season. Inter will hope to clinch the Coppa Italia for the second time in a row today evening.
