Conor Bradley has named Raheem Sterling as the toughest opponent he's faced since breaking into the Liverpool first-team.

The full-back has become a regular for Liverpool in recent months, impressing in Trent Alexander-Arnold's stead after the England star picked up an injury at the start of February. Bradley has started 13 games thus far during the 2023/24 campaign, contributing a goal and three assists.

Bradley has performed admirably in a number of huge games for the Reds in the past few weeks, particularly in the final of the Carabao Cup - which his team won 1-0 thanks to an extra-time header from captain Virgil van Dijk.

Speaking about his first-team breakthrough to Sky Sports, the 20-year-old discussed who he's found to be his toughest opponent at senior club and international level.

"Raheem Sterling," replied Bradley. "I also found Willian tough when I played against Fulham. At international level we played against Greece and Kostas Tsimikas gave me a tough night."

The Liverpool youngster also revealed the advice that his veteran counterpart Andy Robertson has given him, with the Scottish captain hammering home the importance of consistent performance.

"Andy has been brilliant with me since I came into the Liverpool squad," Bradley said. "He's helped me through it and has given me little tips before games that help settle any nerves.

"He keeps battering me about consistency. Keep doing the same things every day and every game. I've been trying to do that.

"I want to have as many good games as I can. I think I've been doing that pretty well recently but I need to keep it going."
