The Newcastle team v Tottenham has just been confirmed.
Newcastle kicking off their match at St James Park at 4.30pm.
Steve Bruce and his team needing to bounce back from starting the season with a nightmare five defeats and three draws.
Ahead of today’s match, Steve Bruce gave an update on the injury and fitness / availability front on Friday.
Martin Dubravka is still out, following surgery for a broken metatarsal.
Paul Dummett is another who is still unavailable with his latest injury.
Whilst the NUFC Head Coach also stated that Miguel Almiron wouldn’t be considered for the starting eleven as he had a long journey back from South America and wouldn’t be arriving back until Saturday.
Better news though with Wilson, Lascelles, Woodman and Shelvey all now available again.
Newcastle United:
Darlow, Manquillo, Lascelles, Clark, Ritchie, Hayden, Sean Longstaff, Willock, Saint-Maximin, Joelinton, Wilson
IN:
Lascelles, Almiron
OUT:
Fernandez, Wilson
So two changes, here’s hoping Lascelles and Wilson can improve things at both ends of the pitch.
Gillespie, Schar, Shelvey, Lewis, Hendrick, Fernandez, Murphy, Fraser, Gayle
Shelvey back amongst the subs, though Almiron not even considered for the subs bench.
