Pep Guardiola has named his Manchester City team to face Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening.
Manchester City return to Premier League action after being crowned World Champions in Saudi Arabia, with the Blues travelling to Merseyside for a clash against a buoyant Everton at Goodison Park.
Guardiola’s side are looking to close the gap between themselves and league leaders Liverpool to five points and return to the top four places with a much-needed victory in midweek.
Manchester City have won just one of their past six Premier League matches and fell to a disappointing draw at home to Crystal Palace prior to travelling to the Middle East to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The treble-winners lifted their fifth trophy of the year on Friday, being crowned World Champions with a thumping 4-0 win over Fluminense, after goals from both Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden.
Both are set to feature at Everton on Wednesday evening, with Manchester City without trio Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Ruben Dias for the clash.
Meanwhile Everton, who have won four of their last five league matches, suffered a 2-1 loss to Tottenham in North London prior to Christmas Day and were also recently knocked-out of the Carabao Cup on penalties.
