Asante Kotoko-Kwara United match moved in Confederation Cup

Asante Kotoko has now learned the venue for its CAF Confederation Cup preliminary first-round match.

The first leg against the winners of Nigeria's President Federation Cup, Kwara United, will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium between September 19 and 21, 2025.

Usually hosting their opponents at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, the Ghanaian Cup champions were forced to relocate due to renovation work at their traditional ground.

The Accra Sports Stadium is currently the only venue in the country certified by the Confederation of African Football to host interclub competition matches.

It should be noted that the return leg will take place in Nigeria between September 26 and 28, 2025. The stadium for that fixture is yet to be announced.
