Miami, FL – Concacaf has proudly introduced Volar, the Confederation’s first-ever official mascot. Volar represents the heart and unity of Concacaf’s 41 Member Associations, soaring into the world as an ambassador of football’s passion and inspiration. Volar’s journey is one of discovery and transformation, created in collaboration with Design Force, who crafted his striking visual identity, and Marvel Comics, whose legendary storytelling brings his origin to life. As a seabird guided by the spirit of the ocean on a mystic mission, Volar represents strength, freedom, and endurance. His powerful wings featuring 41 diamond shapes don the flags of each Concacaf Federation, uniting the region under a shared love for our game. Through his adventures across territories, football history, cultures, and communities, he becomes a guardian of the game, ensuring that football is for everyone, everywhere. “As Concacaf continues to grow the game across our diverse region, Volar serves as a connection point for fans of all ages,” said Concacaf General Secretary Philippe Moggio. “He is more than a mascot; he is a symbol of our shared love for football, an invitation for new generations to engage with the sport, and a bridge that connects our Member Associations through a unified ambassador.” "Volar is a character that had to represent the unity, energy, and pride of Concacaf," said Ted Mininni, President and Creative Director at Design Force. "We wanted his design to reflect the spirit of the game and the unique cultures that make up this Confederation. From his dynamic presence to his symbolic wings, every aspect of Volar tells a story of passion, resilience, and belonging." Volar’s debut will unfold through a multi-channel activation, ensuring fans can interact with him in various ways:
At his core, Volar represents the essence of Concacaf: a celebration of football’s power to bring people together, transcend borders, and inspire the next generation of players and fans. As the region looks ahead to major football events—including the Concacaf men’s and women’s Champions Cups, the 2025 Nations League Finals and Gold Cup, and the 2026 World Cup—Volar will be there every step of the way, guiding, inspiring, and uniting football lovers across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
