Antonio Čolak netted twice as Rangers got a much-needed victory over Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
Scorers: Čolak 8′, 49′; Smith 59′
The hosts took an early lead at Ibrox when James Tavernier dispossessed Ian Harkes and drove down the wing with the ball before cutting back to Čolak, who took a touch out of his feet before finishing well into the bottom corner.
Glenn Middleton almost equalised for the visitors midway through the first half, but his low shot was saved by Allan McGregor’s outstretched foot.
Čolak then got his second of the game early in the second half when he flicked in Borna Barišić’s cross for 2-0.
Liam Smith pulled one back for the visitors 10 minutes later when he fired a shot under McGregor to make it 2-1, but Rangers held out to claim all three points.
