Reports have emerged over the past couple of days suggesting that AC Milan have reignited their interest in signing Dani Ceballos, who might be available in a cut-price deal from Real Madrid.

It was claimed yesterday that Ceballos has been put up for sale for €8m by Real Madrid as they look to offload a midfielder who has played just 228 minutes across 14 LaLiga appearances this season.

However, Calciomercato.com report that according to the information that they have gathered, Milan are not interested in the Spaniard despite the claims to the contrary.

The Rossoneri have been offered several players in recent weeks by agents and representatives, because we are in a phase where those who look after players test the waters ahead of the summer and do not want to be caught unprepared.

Geoffrey Moncada, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Antonio D’Ottavio – those who will be in charge of the summer mercato – have clear ideas: the intention is to buy a central defender, a left-back, a defensive midfielder and a striker.

Therefore, the lack of interest in Ceballos is also dictated by the need to make moves to address other areas of the pitch. For the role of attacking midfielder the starter will still be Ruben Loftus-Cheek with Christian Pulisic as a possible alternative to the Englishman.
