CM: What filters regarding rumours Milan made a bid for Newcastle target Diego Carlos
SempreMilan
AC Milan have been linked with a move for Diego Carlos of Sevilla but he is not expected to arrive during the current mercato, according to a report.
The Daily Mail reported earlier in the week Carlos has asked to leave Sevilla before the window closes and Milan have proposed a deal for the 28-year-old. However, the English source added that the Rossoneri’s bid ‘has fallen short’ of Newcastle’s £28m bid, which works out at around €33.5m.
Calciomercato.com report that while sources continue to push the idea that Carlos is a target for the Rossoneri and even that a bid was made, their sources have ascertained that the Brazilian is not likely to join.
This is because Newcastle United are strongly pressing to land him in January and have even agreed terms as per multiple sources, while the Rossoneri management are evaluating other profiles.
