CM: Milan and Giroud both want love story to continue – contract extension expected | OneFootball

Olivier Giroud has been one of AC Milan’s most reliable performers since his arrival from Chelsea and the club reportedly want to reward him with a contract extension.

Giroud has gained a reputation as being the man for the big games as he has scored in back to back league derby wins over Inter and netted huge goals against Napoli and Lazio away in the Scudetto run-in during the second half of last season.

Calciomercato.com report that it was love at first sight between Giroud and Milan, and after his decisive goals in the 2021-22 campaign he is having an excellent start to the current season too with five goals in eight starts.

This is why the Rossoneri want to extend the Frenchman’s deal beyond its current June 2023 expiry. Giroud wants to continue his story with Milan, and the parties are moving towards the extension of his deal by another season, which would suit both parties.
