AC Milan repelled the advances of several top European clubs who have all been monitoring the development of Theo Hernadez, a report claims.

After scoring the penalty to make it 1-1 against Udinese in the 4-2 season-opening win on Saturday night, Theo moved on to 19 goals in 99 Serie A games, numbers that show how he is full-back who has become one of the best performers in his role in Europe.

There are few like him around, and head coach Stefano Pioli revealed that he was surprised when scrolling through the list of candidates for the next Ballon d’Or and not seeing his name, stating after the game that he ‘would have put Theo Hernandez in the 30’ nominees.

Milan chose to invest €20m to sign him from Real Madrid back in the summer of 2019 and things have gone perfectly. The France international considers the Milan shirt a second skin, as he admitted after signing the renewal until 2026: “It is true that there were many teams who wanted me, but I only thought of Milan and of staying here.”

Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and above all Chelsea came forward this summer, with the latter trying to take advantage of the excellent relations with Paolo Maldini, but the answer has always been the same: Theo is not for sale.
