AC Milan see defender Mattia Caldara as a vital part of the club’s project moving forward, according to a report.
Caldara has been out since April when he suffered a serious ligament injury against Lazio, and has been on the road to recovery since.
Calciomercato.com claimed not long ago that the former Juventus will be back in action in early October at the earliest, with the medical staff taking an understandably cautious approach with him.
Now, the same outlet have confirmed that the 24-year-old will be back involved within a month from now, and the Rossoneri plan to have him at full capacity by the end of 2019.
They go on to state that Paolo Maldini ‘sees great potential in Mattia alongside Romagnoli’ at the heart of Milan’s defence, and that there is no chance of him leaving on loan or on a permanent deal.
In addition, Calciomercato.com believe that the club’s hierarchy have already made it clear that they want the former Juventus man to be starter once he is fully fit.
