CM: Bennacer outlines priority amid Chelsea and Arsenal interest but Milan face dilemma | OneFootball

Ismael Bennacer is aware of his status as one of AC Milan’s best players and he hopes that a higher salary will reflect that, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com report that Bennacer is a player who has found his ideal environment at Milan as he has worked hard to reach his current level and feels like a leader on and off the pitch, even if he is not the most vocal.

Now he wants to take further steps to become one of the best midfielders in the world, and the Algerian knows that the next contract will mark the first turning point in his young career, given that he turned 25 yesterday.

Moussa Sissoko is Bennacer’s historic agent but the exclusive mandate he had in terms of the power to represent the former Empoli man expired three months ago, and the paths of the two separated because the player was not satisfied with the strategy used in the negotiation for the renewal with Milan.

The decision to rely on Enzo Raiola came after a careful casting of the proposals received from the various agents and Milan were promptly informed of this news. Bennacer’s priority is to renew Milan, but he wants €4.5-5m net per season in salary that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will have to decide whether to satisfy or not.

A first meeting between Bennacer’s new agent and the management of the Rossoneri is expected next week, while Chelsea and Arsenal are ‘very interested’ and are watching on.
