Leeds are showing their ambition in the transfer market upon their return to the promised land of the Premier League.

They have signed former Germany striker Lukas Nmecha and are working to sign Udinese centre-back Jaka Bijol.

St. Gallen striker Willem Geubbels is someone they are interested in and Feyenoord winger Paixao is also on their wish list.

They are not the only Premier League side that want him, as north London outfit Arsenal are also interested in the Brazilian.

German club Bayer Leverkusen have Erik ten Hag as their new boss after Xabi Alonso’s departure, and it was suggested on Monday that they are investigating a possible deal for the winger.

However, the Die Werkself, who are set to lose Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, have not formally informed the Dutch club about their interest, according to Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad.

He had a fantastic last season at Feyenoord and the club have made it clear that they want €35m for the attacker.

Paixao impressed with his performances in the 2024-25 campaign, scoring an impressive 18 goals and making 19 assists in 47 all-competition games.

It is not clear if the interested clubs are willing to meet Feyenoord’s asking price for the former Brazil Under-23 international.

But it is clear that he is in demand this summer and the Dutch side are braced for approaches.

All eyes will be on Die Werkself to see if they will register their interest formally to Feyenoord in the Leeds and Arsenal-linked attacker.
