RB Leipzig have ‘decided to go all in’ to sign Wolves star Fabio Silva, amid the likely exit of Benjamin Sesko, who is wanted by Newcastle United and Manchester United.

Silva joined Wolves from Portuguese giants FC Porto in 2020 but played his last game for the Midlands outfit against Sheffield United in 2023.

He has gone out on several loan spells but has failed to revive his career at Molineux and this summer he could finally seal a permanent exit.

Last season, Silva spent on loan with La Liga outfit Las Palmas, where he made 13 goal contributions to make his stock go up.

It has been suggested that Dortmund managed to pique Silva’s interest after their manager Nico Kovac and sporting director Sebastian Kehl explained to him the project for the future.

However, Leipzig do not want to fall behind their Bundesliga rivals as according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, they have ‘decided to go all in’ to secure the signature of Wolves star Silva.

Leipzig are set to lose their frontman Sesko, who has been the subject of a tug-of-war between Manchester United and Newcastle United in recent days and it has been suggested that he prefers a move to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils submitting a bid.

The German outfit are now planning to recruit Silva as the replacement for Sesko and Wolves have set a €20m price tag on his head.

In the event of Sesko’s departure, Leipzig will receive a hefty fee which they could invest to bring the forward to Germany.

On the other hand, Dortmund are set to be part of a meeting held by Silva’s representatives later this week to discuss his future, with Wolves executives present there.

Now it remains to be seen whether Dortmund will accelerate their efforts to agree a deal with Wolves in light of recent developments regarding Leipzig to seal a move for Silva.
