Santiago Baños and company continue to work on assembling the team for the 2022 Clausura tournament and are looking to poach one of the better talents from Major League Soccer.
According to several Mexican sources, Club América are in ‘advanced talks’ to bring in DC United and United States international winger Paul Arriola.
Arriola, a Mexican-American, is one of the best players in MLS in his position and earned a loan move to Swansea City in February before being recalled in March due to injury.
The 26-year-old has plenty of experience in Liga MX, having come up through Dorados and Xolos before making the move to the United States in 2017.
However, there are conflicting reports from 90min, who claim América will not be signing Darwin Machís or Paul Arriola in January, so whether or not a move will develop remains to be seen.
