It was one-way traffic for Rob Page’s side as Wales dominated the match even without injured stars Aaron Ramsey and Brennan Johnson.

Regan Poole, Joe Low, Charlie Savage and Liam Cullen all made their debuts while an unfortunate shoulder injury to Wes Burns forced him off early.

Stand-in captain Ben Davies opened the scoring with his second-ever goal for his country after nodding home a cross from Nathan Broadhead.

The first goal immediately open the floodgates as Gibraltar were forced to sit back and watch. The visitors notably finished with zero shots and 21% possession of the ball.

Kieffer Moore continues to be at his best when playing for his country after netting two trademark headers. The Bournemouth striker has yet to score this season for his club but is now level with Ryan Giggs for Wales (12 goals).

Substitute Dan James (who replaced Burns) linked up with Broadhead between Moore’s goals, and the 25-year-old added a goal to accompany his earlier assist.

Moore was hauled off after his first-half brace, while Ipswich Town’s young forward continued to run the show after the break alongside James. Substitute Tom Lockyer also impressed off the bench.

The Leeds ace was hunting for a goal of his own after two assists, but had one saved and another hit off the woodwork with roughly 10 minutes remaining.

Wales will be happy with their first half performance but Page might wonder how his side could have twisted the knife in the second half.
