As reported by Goal, after two weeks of talks between coach Christophe Galtier, PSG and his employers OGC Nice, proceedings are edging closer to a full agreement between the parties for Galtier to become the new Paris coach.

All that’s keeping Paris from finalising Galtier’s move to the French capital are talks between PSG and their incumbent coach Mauricio Pochettino over his exit package from the club.

The two teams have reached a final agreement in recent hours over the compensation paid to Nice for their coach too, with two years remaining on his contract at the Allianz Riviera. That fee will be much less than the €10m earlier reported, say Goal.

A contract between PSG and their prospective coach, a Ligue 1 title-winner with Lille last year and PSG’s new de-facto sporting director Luis Campos’ pick to assume the Paris coaching role, is also settled – that being a two-year deal with an option for a third season.

thought to be between €15m and €20m. Pochettino, however, is not budging and Paris have little time to waste if they want to have Galtier installed by the start of pre-season training on July 4th.
