There is a chance that Christian Eriksen could be given a start in tomorrow’s Derby della Madonnina with AC Milan according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Danish national team player has started just one of the three games Inter have played to date but could be handed a start in the derby due to Inter’s packed fixture schedule with games against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League and a match with Genoa in Serie A coming up.

Inter manager Antonio Conte could however opt to deploy Arturo Vidal, Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic in the midfield which would exclude Eriksen from the starting line-up.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that Conte, like every other manager, does not appreciate his players making ‘polite complaints’ when they are thousands of miles away as Eriksen did when away with Denmark as he spoke on his lack of playing time.
