Luton Town and Grimsby Town meet on Tuesday night in an FA Cup fourth round replay.
The Hatters travel away to Blundell Park following a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture last month.
Goals from Gavan Holohan and Harry Clinton earned a replay for the League Two outfit, with tonight’s winner set to face Premier League side Southampton in the fifth round.
Rob Edwards’ side come into the game off the back of a 1-0 win over Stoke City at the weekend that moved them to 4th in the Championship table.
Chris Sutton believes that the good times will continue for Luton, as he has predicted a 2-0 win for the visitors this evening.
That would tee-up a big clash against former manager Nathan Jones, provided he is still in his position at St. Mary’s by the time the game comes around amid mounting pressure.
“This one surprised me, with Grimsby getting a 2-2 draw at Kenilworth Road a few days after being smashed 5-0 by Swindon in League Two,” wrote Sutton, via the BBC.
“Luton’s level of performance was awful for a team in the Championship play-offs, and Grimsby might even have won it first time around – so they will certainly fancy their chances on their own patch.
“I don’t see Luton being as bad again, though. Maybe Grimsby’s chance has come and gone?”

True False
Luton will be looking to reach the fifth round of the competition for the second year running, having been eliminated at that stage in 2022 by Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Grimsby haven’t reached the fifth round since 1996.
The Verdict
Despite being away from home, Luton will be the favourites to progress from tonight’s tie due to their Championship status.
Edwards has the team in good form going into this game, and will likely want to earn a big away trip to face Premier League opposition in the next round.
It is a huge chance for Grimsby to reach the next round as well, and going to Blundell Park will not be easy for the Hatters.
The first match showed just how strong a fight the fourth tier side will put up, so it is unlikely this will be a straightforward night for Luton.
