Leagues Cup West Group 2 action rolls on as LA Galaxy play host to Liga MX giants Chivas at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Chivas came up short in their opening Leagues Cup fixture against MLS outfit San Jose Earthquakes at PayPal Park, losing 1-1 (3-4 on penalties). Chivas will hope to come away with three points to ensure safe passage into the Round of 32 alongside LA Galaxy, who sit atop the group with three points.
The Galaxy head into the match full of confidence after their 2-1 triumph over in-state San Jose Earthquakes. Greg Vanney's team have one foot in the door of the knockout stage, and they might be able to take their foot off the gas against Chivas as they've already picked up three points.

Carlos Cisneros and Pavel Perez are both doubts for the contest as both players are dealing with muscle injuries.
Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez -- who joined his boyhood club Chivas on a free transfer from LA Galaxy this winter -- looks set to take on his former club Saturday night.

The Galaxy are still without a couple of key players who are all on the treatment table and are expected to be sidelined through mid-August. Dejan Joveljic is recovering from a hamstring injury and a groin injury keeps Julian Aude out of action.
LA Galaxy predicted lineup vs Chivas ( 4-3-3 ): McCarthy; Yamane, Neal, Yoshida, Nelson; Delgado, Brugman, Puig; Pec, Paintsil, Fagundez.
The Galaxy will know heading into the match that they don't necessarily need three points to advance to the Leagues Cup Round of 32, meaning they just might ease off the intensity a bit. Chivas, however, must win to ensure they reach the next phase of the competition.
LA have a well-rounded squad, but it doesn't have as much depth as Chivas. The Mexican giants will come away with three points to reach the knockout stage of Leagues Cup thanks to goals from Erick Gutierrez and Robert Alvarado.
Prediction: Chivas 2-1 LA Galaxy
