Chivas have reportedly identified two Liga MX strikers as possible solutions to their attacking issues ahead of the 2022 Clausura.
With a week to go before they kick off their season at Mazatlán, the Flock are apparently not happy with the current options up front.
The quartet of Ángel Zaldívar, Ronaldo Cisneros, César Huerta and Sebastián ‘Chevy’ Martínez have failed to impress in pre-season, with Los Rojiblancos now scrambling to reinforce in that area.
According to local reporter David Medrano, Eduardo Aguirre and Santiago Giménez are ‘on the radar’ of the Guadalajara club.
Chivas will have to get out the cheque book for Aguirre, as Santos Laguna are seemingly not interested in any swap deals involving the 23-year-old.
It is understood that no approach has been made to Cruz Azul yet in relation to Giménez.
The Chivas hierarchy will have to work fast if they wish to bring either Mexico international into the fold before the season gets under way.
