United finished off their post-season Asian tour with a clash against the Hong Kong national team and were hoping to avoid a successive embarrassing defeat on their travels.
Casemiro had the ball in the back of the net inside five minutes but his header was ruled out for offside.
Things got worse for the Premier League outfit soon after though as Juninho netted to give Hong Kong a lead.
The hosts went into the break with that advantage but United equalised just after half time as Chido Obi finished well.
The former Arsenal youngster was at it again late on as his glancing header gave the English side a deserved lead.
As the game entered added time, United added a third as Ayden Heaven headed in.
